It sounds like you are doing great. I'm 4days post op. When did you feel able to get out and about? I don't feel like I'll be able to drive anytime soon.

I would say the ability to sit and walk unhindered gradually came on after day 9. There is still some tenderness and mild pain at the incision site so I am very careful at sitting for long periods of time.
Wishing you a pain free life and a complete restoration of your quality of life. I know first hand how agonising it is living with daily fissure pain.
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Post LIS... how do you differentiate between fissure pain and incision pain? I am 9 days post op.. and I think its just pain from the incision..

I can differentiate because my fissure pain used to be concentrated in the 6 o'clock position.
Incision pain is much milder and seems to be concentrated in the right side of my anus.

Yes the pain just feels like it's from the incision. So hard to tell!

Day 14 post op:
Incision site is tender to the touch, irritating, itchy, and still discharging clear/yellow fluid. Pain is minimal.

Day 16 post op:
Burning at the incision site after BM and irritation throughout the day.
Still finding it difficult sitting for a long period of time.
Drainage still there but has lessened considerably.
This is taking too long for a small wound.

Sorry to hear that you still have burning and irritation. Are you managing it though and attempting to get on with daily life?

Yes. The pain is nowhere near that pre-LIS. But it is pain nonetheless and it would be nice if it healed up quickly.

Yes I really do get that I'm 7 days post op now. Doing ok, managing to sit up and not always on my side so it's a big improvement.
Keep going, you sound like you are doing great great.
