Hun I'm sure this Botox will do the job and if not push for LIS I had to go to 3 different CRS before I found one who would agree to LIS due to my issues. Have you had a resting pressure test because if you have a high resting pressure and don't suffer from regular diarrhoea then there is no reason to not give you LIS if you need it
It's your body you know what's best for you
Good luck

Do you have kids? When did you first get your fissure? Is it in the front or back of the anus? I've been dealing with this for 4 years but haven't had botox or surgery.

Oh no Katie Hun....I had assumed that you were doing well. Def ask for the LIS Hun it really does work even in complicated cases like mine. Don't let them try and dissuade you, you know your own body and know what you need.
Good luck fingers crossed

Wow your doc is determined....I have been fine after my LIS yes I still get the odd spasms when my crohns flares but and this is the important point here even during my flares when I have explosive liquid BMs I haven't had even a tiny amount of soiling my under ware let alone actual incontinence.
Drs have to warn us of this but some get way too hung up on it. My CRS was very honest and said after 22 years of carrying out LIS he has only seen less than a handful of cases where people,e are incontinent and of those handful only one was what he would class as being diagnosed incontinent and not just a bit of marks on underwear after a BM.
