I think sore days are inevitable Hun. Try not to let it get you down. I used to think that a bad day meant goi g backwards but then the next day is a good day, you have to be fair to yourself and give your body time to recover to full strength.

I always find that diarrhoea makes me worse my CRS say that's because not only is it acidic and burns more but it gets into cuts a lot more than a formed BM, so maybe that has given you a few sore days perhaps

Same here - D is always worse than a formed bm for me!

Can you have a sitz bath after, maybe cleanse gently with a prep H wipe? I find them very soothing.

Katie - I haven't done a super thorough search, but most of the studies I've looked at are similar to this one:

http://link.springer.com/article/10.100 ... 004-6528-y

Says that for LIS - 41/50 participants healed at 28 days (82%) and 49/50 healed at 2 months (98%).

Generally very high success for LIS. But much less info out there about the fistula surgery...maybe I'm not getting the terminology right? If you google scholar your exact procedure I'm sure there must be a study or two!
