So happy you have a good CRS you can trust, and who can relate to what you go through. It feels so good when they take time to explain things - it really helps to understand why things are the way they are...
Don't like that you have to be in pain for so long, but if you heal it might be worth it..., but I know pain takes away your energy. Hope your husband and family is supportive.
Have you tried Xylocain gel when having a BM?

Hi Buddy Fiss.
Image
Hope you are feeling better these days. Is that gap healing together yet?
Sorry Image about the disappearing posts.
Things are kind of calm and peaceful here, just enjoying that until we have to start treatment for J. Will probably start that mid-October. One more trip to Mayo on Oct. 10 also.
I haven't been dressing up for halloween much these days, we just like to stay at home! How about you?
Take care dear Fissy!

Hi fissy,
I was super viligant about cleaning the area too after the surgery and even sometimes still. I got one of those baby medicating syringe things and irrigated the area after bm and before bed. Basically, I wold put the tip of the syringe inside and squirt around the edged. I would make a saline/iodine solution and debride and disninfect the area. Sometimes I would use water salted with sea salt or epsom salt at the end to stave off the irritation. It really helped keep away the stinging. At the beginning, I wold bend over int he bath tub and my significant other would squirt the are with the same solution. it really did help.
I hope you are will be doing better soon.
Yours,
Chris

Thanks all for concern and well wishing Image Image Image and for great tip Chrissy -girl XOXO !!!
JO - sweetheart Image - I am so sorry that that dreadful time is ahead of you Image - trips to Mayo and possible beginning of Jared's hard treatment Image . Please let us know always of exact dates so that we can be with you and your family in our thoughts and our prayers . Image Image Image I used to have parties for Halloween for our friends and their kids - but for the past 2 years we could not because of health issues and my kids miss it, I know - they just do not say it ever. They are really great girls - I do not know what I would do if I did not have such close family , even though there are just 4 of us Image . I wish you the best of luck on your trips and Jared's treatments and I hope your butty-butt will behave and not give you much trouble during those trying days ahead Image Image !!!
I do not know about the gap LOL - I decided to ignore it since it gets on my nerves - I just keep it clean "with Windex" (joking ; )), but almost something like that Image . I have app. on Oct. 9th and will let CRS examine it in detail Image, right now I just check that has normal color and no signs of infection . My hubby says it is closing - but I do not believe him Image - I think he is just trying to make me feel better Image - but it is OK - I am working on my patience and pain management in different ways. Hope you are doing well, my dear friend xoxoxox
Corsi - Buddy :truebud: - yeah, what girl to do - doing the best I can and everything I can and heard off. Last time my CRS gave me Lidocaine cream ( same thing - numbing thingy ; ), and yes it helps Image . I just should not use it more than 4 times a day and it helps more after the BM than during Image - that area is still healing and I think I have now actually 2 fissures - one on 12 o'clock where he did fissurectomy and one on 6 o'clock that reopened after surgery due to enormous swelling and complete spasm due to shock :( :( :( . So, 12 place burns and 6 place pinches during BM and than all hell gets loose and all starts to hurt with dull and burning pain whole day in various degrees Image . When it is less I can function OK, when it goes UP it drives me nuts - typical fissure "dance".
I hope that your little glitch after the trip is calming down Image and that your bleeding stopped !!! I wish you very fast recovery !!! Image
BG- my sweet friend Image - so nice to see you on the board - it makes me so happy when I see your post Image Image Image . Thanks you so much for the info about cleaning part - what ratio of water and iodine you used ??? I use emptied Fleet bottle filled up with chamomile and white oak and spray it at the "target" after I wash with water. And yes - my poor significant other had the honor of doing it for me for the first 2 weeks Image - I always tell him that if he ever looses his job (God forbid LOL) He can open now Proctology Practice Office
and he would do better job than most CRSs I visited so far Image . Not yet so versed in surgery part , ha ha ha , but since 2 LIS did not loosen up my sphincter , I think he can do better job with that too - so shell see Image !!! Love you buddy :sprinkleheart: !

Fiss -
How is the black hole? Is it healing any faster?? Try to think about Jo's open wounds - they took forever to heal, but they did heal in the end and so will YOU!!!!! Image
I love the new photo! I did see the huka in the background - where did you get it? I went to many huka bars when I was in the middle east - ahhh, the things I did for entertainment! :)
So when is the next appointment? I hope your felling better! Things are not perfect with me yet, but I am really trying hard to be positive.

And what about you, Corsi? You have been tossing your kind loving arms around to everyone today, but I haven't heard you saying if you were in pain much lately or have I just missed a post somewhere?
What say you, piken? ('scuse my Norwegian, it's not rusty, it's non-existant!!)
Hurtin' or feelin' better? I pray it's "feelin' better!"
