It is wonderful to see how far you have come, Pinky! I know you are still worried about your butt, but it is so great to hear you say you are happy with it. I do remember how you despaired and I am smiling so widely right now thinking the worst is finally over and you can focus on your family and other things beyond pain.
Thank you for bringing up the slight leakiness and wind-breaks that escape from time to time...I am sure others on this board have had that problem like I did in the few months following LIS and it's good for them to know it is to be expected and that it will get better over time.
I am so happy for you, Pinky!! Image

Hi all,
Havent been around much.Posted in another thread that i was unwell again with the flu for a week.Migraine during periods for 2 days, the list goes on.something or the other with my health.my immune system is weak i think that i fall ill so easily.

Ive been having soft mushy stools since 2 weeks which started during my periods.ive had hard stools for a while during periods but this time it was too soft.i had some black berries and the next day i had diarrohea which stung so bad.my hubby adviced my to reduce the movicol dose to half sachet instead of one.i was scared to alter the dose but since yesterday im taking 3/4 sachet.have to see how it goes tomorrow.what do you guys suggest i should do?
i still have the dull aches which are annoying.

We had planned to visit the states in may and even booked our tickets. We cancelled after hearing about the flu virus.not sure if we should go next week.supposed to travel on 11th may.we'll wait and see.hubby doesnt want to take any risks with our son.i was very upset as this was our first holiday in 2 yrs.wanted to visit miami as well.it had to happen now itself when we decided to go.ive started to accept it and there's nothing i can do but wait.

I do think of you all and pray for you all.

Hey Pinky Image !!!!
So sorry to hear about your flu and headaches Image and butt pain on top of it all Image . It must be really draining and depressing and you can not even rest with a " toddler demands" (sigh...).
I know that it is scary to change the protocol Image and I know too well how it backfired many times before I had LIS , so I completely understand you. I now use Metamucil if my poop is too soft since it works both ways for me - it absorbs extra water from a poop and makes it more formed if it is too loose. It is sooooo scary to end up with big poop though, especially if you are now used to very soft poops Image. I am so sorry that I do not have any better advice since my GI is so regular and never constipated that I feel at loss any time somebody asks for help Image in that regard. Can you try drinking some black tea (at least 4 cups a day) since tannins can calm down guts and stop mushiness ??? Don't eat fresh fruit untill your tummy calms down or juice of any kind ! Stay on "blah" diet for couple of days and I am sure that all will calm down Image
Regarding USA trip - stay away , dear friend - no need to risk anything !!! We have couple of cases in the area where we live and schools are closing down, stores are ghost towns , people very anxious Image . Can you change tickets for another destination ??? How about Italy Image ??? I would definitely rather go there in any case LOL !!!
I wish you best of luck with whatever you decide and I wish you super fast healing Image Image

Sorry you feel bad Pinky Image
I agree with Fissy, why don't you go somewhere else? Maybe no place is safe now, but we can't stop living...

We've been lucky as the flu virus has not struck here in my area. Sorry to hear you are not doing well, Pinky! Wow, I bet those blackberries really stung! I can sure sympathize with the migraines, I get them too! Image

Hi Pinky Image
Sorry to hear you are been feeling run down Image Do you take a multi vitamin ?
Maybe now is the time to reduce the movicol just a little , 3/4 sachet sounds perfect not too much of a change, my gp said if I wanted to come off movicol to reduce down very very slowly I experimented just before LIS with 3/4 sachet and all was fine, I hope it will be for you..
Keep us movicol addicts posted to your findings !
Do you get the dull aches all the time or just around that period time ?
I am gutted for you that you have had to cancel your holiday you would have been looking forward to the well deserved break and the sunshine !
I hope you can sort something Image

Image Image Fizzy,Corsi,Kim and Tabby. You guys make me feel better.

Fizzy-Ive never been constipated before pregnancy(very rarely) and cant remember any day without pooping.have been regular and no problems. But now everything's changed and i wish i can go back to normal eating and stop depending on these stool softeners.Im not a coffee or tea person.I can try tea if i have to.
We cancelled our tickets and still waiting to see if we can travel.Im an indian and need visa to travel to other countries.we have a 10 yr visa to the states but to travel anywhere else even in europe,we have to get a visa.we have to take an appt in the consulate for which the waiting times vary from 3-6 weeks.thats why im so disappointed.how are you nowadays?

Corsi-Hope you are recovering well.

Kim-did you have the same exp with black berries?
im glad your area is safe for now.

Tabby-I dont take any vitamin except magnesium as all the multivit have iron and i dont want any risks with constipation now.
The dull aches are there most of the time and gets worse during periods and PMS and mittelschmerz.
Have you stopped movicol?if not,how much do you take?i guess 3/4th sachet may not make much of a difference but ill stick to it for a while.
