Hi all,
We got back a week ago from our holiday. It was a wonderful trip.I loved miami.it was too hot and uncomfortable at times. It rained at night for all the days we stayed there and it was a blessing. My son was so scared of the beach and wudnt come anywhere near water.not sure if its normal in kids or its just my son.My hubby and i have been scared of water and we still do.i can manage to stay near a beach but havent even learnt swimming.but i enjoyed sitting on the sandy beach under a umbrella watching the waves and the blue sky.Wish id lived in the states.its a beautiful country.
was very sad for a few days after the holidays.I couldnt sleep very well after coming back and took me a few days to get back to normal.
My butt behaved and surprisingly i ended up having soft mushy stools even though i didnt eat a high fibre diet.maybe coz i had lots of fluids as it was too hot and didnt really eat much during the day due to heat.and i was very happy.but i wudnt advice anyone to go off their fibre foods. One problem i faced was severe uncontrollable itching while walking esp in miami.must be the sweat but it was horrible itching.

Ive started to do an observership in emergency department for a few weeks as ive had a long career gap and now im looking to go back to work.last few days have been very stressful.put our son into nursery and he's still not very well settled.it breaks my heart to see him cry but i know he'll love it in a few weeks.

Lecia-Its a great feeling to know im your inspiration Image
Actually, you are my inspiration.everytime i was in pain and even now,i compare myself to you and console myself. You are going through so much but still look after your family and be brave.i remember you and stop cribbbing and gives me the strength to move on.
I do admire juney and val as well along with you.they are going through so much.

How are you tabby, kim, fissy, corsi, juney?hope many have healed.
Thanks guys for all your support.

I hope your ER observership goes well, Pinky!! I bet that really keeps you busy. Glad you enjoyed your stay in the states, sorry about the heat but it was Miami, wasn't it?
So you all have a fear of the water? Why not learn to swim? You and your husband?!? Swimming is not hard at all once you get the feel for it, and once you can swim well your lives will all be so much safer!!! Its just all about pushing that water back with your hands and keeping your legs up high enough to kick effectively.
Thanks for checking in with us, we have missed you, birthday girl! Image

Thanks Corsi,Tabby,Fissy and kim.
Observership is quite good.i do see the patients on my own and discuss management options and then later seen by a senior.ive started to enjoy emergency dept.its sad to see so many in pain and get to see very sad stuff.it was mostly happy patients in obstetrics.lots to study and learn.the initial few days were very tough.being away from my son was the hardest part.but now,ive realised how important it is for me to work to stay sane.
i find it difficult to drink water during the day.i drink lots before i leave in the morning and in the evening after i get back.i have a glass at lunch.there's a water dispenser but its cold water and my throat hurts.its so chaotic to keep a water bottle there.

I hope they have a job for me.i desperately want to get back to work.

Corsi-I think im ready for work although i have to keep up with the fibre diet and the rest ive been doing till now.stress is inevitable with work.thats the worst part and i hope it wont get me constipated.hows ur work and how r u?

Tabby-Im still using 3/4 movicol.somedays i forget and take the whole sachet.i will try to reduce it slowly.i dont wanna depend on laxatives.i dont want to try anything new right now.keep us informed how u get on with movicol.

Fissy-My son is coping better now in the nursery and he's started to enjoy it.he gets to play with other kids and has a lot of fun.he dies cry when we drop him off but settles down soon.keeping him with a nanny will not allow him to have any interaction with other kids.he'll get bored easily.
i think i read somewhere ur house is for sale?????thats sad.why?????maybe u'll feel better if u share it here with us.
take care

Kim-Ohhh so sweet of u.i do miss you all but always think of you all.
I did try to learn swimming a few years back but they put me on a waiting list for lessons and never called me.we were moving every year with our jobs so it never worked out.i finally got a call for lessons but i was pregnant then and u know my life after that.i will surely find out and try to learn swimming.

Hi All,
Im having another set back.I started to have very soft mushy stools and diarrohea a few times since the last 4 days.I still leak a bit after BMs.I felt sore down and a lot of itching.I have small abrasions on the perianal skin and the skin tag.nothing in the fissure area.im not sure wat has set this off and how its happened.its freaking me out and im very upset and scared.my shower isnt working and i wiped my bum with tissue paper soaked in warm water.
Ill cut down my movicol into half sachet tonight and see.sometimes the begining of the stool is well formed and then at last its loose and burns.i dont know if its a good idea to put a barrier cream as there's a wound.I just needed to vent.

Oh, Pinky! I think that is a good idea to cut down on the movicol. Wish I had some other suggestions. It does sound, from reading your post, that the diarrhea may be what has set this off. I know it was what caused my fissure in the first place!
If you are still having diarrhea, do your best to control how it comes out, the more "explosive" it is the worse damage it will do. I hope you can get your shower repaired soon.
How is the ER job coming along? Do you enjoy the challenge, I bet it is like no other medical job. I used to be an EMT many years ago, so I know what those ERs are like, and I can see you losing your bottled water there very easily!
Keep us informed on how things are going, especiallyhwith your rear-end!

Thanks Kim.The BM today morning was not as soft as before but still soft.I think the leaking stools is causing the soreness.i did apply some vaseline but then i had terrible itching that i had to wash again.I feel my leaking has increased a bit now.not sure why.its very less but irritates my skin.maybe its the loose stools.

I stopped going to the ER.im looking for a job. There was a job but looks like its not going to work out due to my bad luck.im very stressed out right now.I loved the ER.It is very challenging and its quite stressful as well.I would love to work in the ER and hope something works out.
