Alright so saw the doc today and it's an abscess. She tried injecting local anesthetic and draining it in the office but wasn't able to because it hurt too much. That was freakin painful, right up there with acute fissure pain.
Now I'm scheduled to go in to the hospital for surgery in 3 hours to get it surgically drained. So the fun continues.
Worst part is that I can't have anything by mouth between now and the surgery, meaning no painkillers for the abscess which is now hurting like bloody hell after the attempt to drain it. Sigh.

I'll call Dwight and let him know. He's enroute back to Illinois from visiting his 93 year old mother in Tennessee. Good luck and keep us posted!!

Hey Cheryl, thanks but please don't bother Dwight while he's out visiting granny :) Dwight sounds like an angel but he should have some time without worrying about others too Image
I think this is actually a very minor procedure. I'm not freaked out about it like I was before LIS, at least. It just hurts real bad right now from the local anesthetic shot I got in the office. Wish I could take some painkillers but they say not to because I'll be going under later on.

UHG BUMMER !!!!! Image Image Image Image I will smack her twice - once for me and once for you - with your permission Image I hate doctors when they dismiss PAIN - how about giving you little bit of morphine intravenously till procedure ???? Image Image Image OR ANY OTHER PAIN KILLER FOR THAT MATTER !!! Image Image Image
OK - the most important thing is now that she discovered the damn infection and will clean it !!!! See - always go to the doctor any time you have a "hunch" !!! Sixth sense is there for a reason - you know ...
PS: I couldn't use Dilitiazem since it burned like hell Image I used it only 2 times and decided to toss it away LOL In the meantime I got almost as good as new" but than now it is playing games with me and I will stop it in the root LOL No need for drawings LMAO - nothing "visible" off LOL , maybe tags little bit red-ish, but nothing major. I want my Nef. or Nitro prescription and I will make app. just to have it filled in - I will need to have that stuff in Europe anyways if I travel LOL - even without this minor set-back I would love to have them with me out of state LMAO ; ))) One never knows Image Image Image So - multiple benefits ; )))

Hey guys, thanks for the well wishes. Just got back from surgery right now. Still pretty out of it, I'll post back tomorrow :)
Hope your daughter has a nice prom tomorrow Fissy. Mine seems like it was just yesterday. But really it's been about 15 years haha.

Ugh ok, already crapped myself without knowing it 3 times since abscess drainage, how embarrassing :( This thing definitely left my ass much more swollen with very noticeably more bleeding compared to LIS. I can't feel my anus at all. Doc says it's normal so I'm not worried (now that I kind of know what to expect), but you're right Fiss, good thing I got it taken care of while still in the recovery period. This would bum me out even more if I had to do it a long time after I thought LIS was behind me.
Thanks again for the well wishes. On to more laying around, TV, and video games for a while I guess.
