Was it the pizza? Maybe wait the whole three months before pizza. You have come this far... No food is worth the pain.

JHH,
Do you still take stool softeners? That's a bummer pizza could do that to you. I'm very bad when it comes to sticking to diet probably reason I kept tearing. But now after LIS I'm afraid to eat. Hopefully it's a minor set back.
Good luck 😊

Actually I dont know for sure if it was the pizza, but I sure felt like I was walking on thin ice, when I was eating it.
Yes I take stoolsoftner, husk and magnesium, but I have been descreasing both lately because of stomack trouble. Im getting rumbeling, stomack pain, gas, dizziness, fatigue etc, so Im trying to take as little as possible.

JHH, hang on in there! You know how unpredictable these Fissures can be. I get normal days, then it will act up the next few days. Remember it is early days yet, and the Botox may not have taken full effect. I am having much better BM's now using Cold milled Flaxseed on my porridge in the morning and in the evening in yogurt. Maybe you could try this. It is both soluble and insoluble Fibre. Suggested by my dietician. Hope you improve soon....

JHH,
Did you say you suffer from IBS? - Your stomach problems definitely seem to indicate some form of possible gastro issue, which will take a toll on BM's. Are you finding (pizza aside) other things causing reactions? Do you keep a food diary? I've definitely found a pattern with certain foods, such as beans, sweetcorn, peas, mashed potatoes (with butter) - all these give me terrible stomach pain these days, gas, rumbling - Pizza dough (white) or melted cheese may not have helped?? Just steer clear & note down anything that causes you issues. Hopefully, this did not effect your fissure too badly and things have now calmed down again and you've gone back to better days??
Chronic Fissure diagnosed December 2011
Healed by Diltiazem around Feb 2013
Anal Fistula followed burst abscess in June 2012
2 internal troublesome piles remain & suspected, but undiagnosed, ongoing Levator Ani type symptoms & flare-ups

To be honest I don't understand why did you get pizza?
Didn't you read that fissure takes time to get healed? That scar does not have is strength? It takes 1y to get 80% of strength.
You are just inpatient, all 3 months with botox, stick to vegetables! Accept this, even if you feel good during the day!

Day 12
Had formed BM again, and now in spasms :(
Not sure its the pizza, maybe its just because of the decreased stoolsoftner... anyway, I will not stray away from my diet anymore, but I really thought botox had me covered.
There is definitly some IBS issues going on, but this all started 2 months after I got my fissure. Im pretty sure its the stoolsoftners that causes it. I tried movicol 2 times, and both times I got so sick after just a few days. I started psyllium husk when I first got my fissure, and dont dare stopping it completely to see if this will help my stomack.

P.S. The formed BMs I have had the last two days, was not hard, just formed. Actually they were like my CRS recommended, think its 4 on the bristol scale. Unfortunatly it seems anything else than unformed cowpad poo, will put me in spasms.

Spasms are due to pain and irritation, I believe. So if you have this fissure still not scarred, than you may get spasms.
Do you use nitro still? It would not harm, but should give more spasm relief.
