Yeah, Im back to nearly painfree, and I have a new weapon (lactulose) that will help me stay that way!
Day 34
BM today was bristol 5-6. Only slight pain as it passed the fissure. Just a little irritation now, but no pain. I think its going to be a great day!

Hey JHH are you still using your creams after having Botox? I feel like my Diltiazam is redundant now that I've had Botox (despite still using it for the past 3weeks) and should I be trying the coconut oil instead?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hey W :)
Im still on diltiazem and nitro. I read a study somewhere that botox AND ointments works better than botox alone. My CRS also thought it would be a good idea.

Excellent thanks J. Was just concerned that whenever I consider using the coconut oil, I figure I should be using the cream so I've haven't been trying its infamous healing powers. I guess if your CRS has recommended it then I shall stick with it. My CRS gave me some pre surgery before I could have a consultation and then didn't give me any post-surgery so I guess I was a bit confused.
Thanks anyway. I'll continue until its gone and fit in the coconut oil around it.

I tried coconut oil. Didnt do anything for me.
I guess its OK for prelube before BM, but even there I choose vaseline as it works better for me.
Anyways, I would rather stick with proven treatments like nitro and dilt, than take a chance on coconut oil, honey, zink creme, whatever else people are putting up there.

I have to admit, I've only prelubed once or twice in my fissure life cycle. I never really got along with it. The razor pain was still there even with vasoline. If it works for you and has a benefit then you're very lucky.
