Sorry to hear this Rachael 1984 :gah:

I like what your CRS suggested in continue to try and see if it's something your eating.
Again, I sound like a broken record but it indeed took me the longest to figure that
it was indeed what I was eating that was causing my re-tears.

Oh Rachael 1984, if I could I'd trade my good "butt" for yours just to try and give you some
much deserved relief. It's there Rachael, healed pain-free days are there, we just have to
persevere persevere perservere, search search search, and we will be awarded for our efforts
in a most pain-free way.

You say you really don't know what to do now, Oh yes you do......yes you do. Keep going, with that
new website that spells out clearly the insoluble/soluble fiber count of foods, that's one place new
you can start on your new plan of attack.

Have you went over every tip and trick you can think of? Extending and or combining different
techniques may do the trick for you. C'mon Rachael, we will help you through this and together
we will win. Keep on safely mixing and matching up your routines and something will finally work.

Hi Rachael. So sorry to hear about your setback. On the plus side it sounds like your CRS is a good one with your long tern best interests in mind. When I got my first fissure eight years ago and read so many sad stories on this board I remember thinking how lucky I was to have had 60 fissure free years. Since I had a recurrence about a year ago I have had numerous setbacks mainly because I had to have major unrelated stomach surgery with a fissure unfriendly diet needed. My poor old bum got so fed up with Dilt etc that it would tolerated nothing except vasilene - not even coconut oil! - without intolerable itching. So I have managed to "heal" again just using Laxido and some adjustments to my diet lots fresh fruit and veg and plenty of fluids. I say "heal" because every time I try to kick the Laxido I end up in trouble. So I am resigned to taking it for a few months at least. I find I can manage with half a sachet a day. What I have discovered though is that it it seems impossible to achieive long term consistency. The same diet will produce the desired result day after day and then suddenly a hard BM for no apparent reason. i suspect the answer is that we are not machines and things like emotions, stress and so on interfere. So I think we just have to be like boxers having a bad round. Learn to ride the punches and weather out the storm, gather our strength and fight on. I know you will win through in the end. Look how you have got your life together again since we first corresponded. The day may come when you have to accept some medical intervention but I feel sure it is best to heal naturally if you possibly can. My very best wishes. Allan

Aw Racheal,
You must be so peed off, frustrated, confused, scared, all rolled into one......... :comfort:
Is the fissure pain as intense as the others were? Are you going through that nasty lingering fresh fissure pain with this one right now?? - Use your cream straightaway as others say, to try & nip it in the bud & try to relax your mind as much as you can right now. Hopefully, if your CRS believes it can heal with conservative measures and he is a good one, then hopefully, he will be proven right.
As much as I love your Scream look, I wasn't ever wishing it would come back!!
Take care my lovely, x x x keep updating :D
& Never stop fighting.

Thank you so much everyone...

I have cried reading all of your kind responses.what would I do without all of you?!

Great to hear from you Buttastic, I think you are right, I need to keep going with this and kill it dead! I have downloaded a food symptom app onto my iPad, it even has the Bristol Stool scale on there so I can track everything down to the size of my BMs! Lol. I do hope I can heal fully at some point....

Hi Allan, I definitely think stress plays a part in all of this, and i haven't been having a great time at the moment. I do hope you are doing well now. Yes I have come a long way since this all started. I just wish I could put it all behind me (no pun intended) I do believe I will get there....

Thanks, Puzzled, you are a great wee person... Lol! Xxxx

Hi ETO, the pain isn't as bad as before, just stinging and soreness when I sit, and the lady bits weirdness! Ugh. When I have a BM it doesn't seem too bad, but there is some pain afterwards(not every day though). I am convinced it is the old chronic monster that hasn't quite healed, but he is convinced it is a new monster.... I hate this! Ugh

Hey Welshy! I hope you are doing well, thank you, and I will keep fighting....

Love you all. Xxxx

Hi J, good to see you... Hope you are doing okay.

Update, well the monster is sore... I am still on the routine and I am having problems now with all the sitz baths... Think I had Thrush ugh! Seems to have settled, using the Rectogesic 3 times a day to try and kill the sucker.... Had a bad week last week, just wanted to break down at the thought of going through this again. And now I need to go under Anaesthetic on the 15th Nov for another unrelated issue, all I can think is constipation from the General!! Panic panic panic... Overdose on Movicol that day! Aghhhhhhhhh

My word Rachael!!

You sure are dealing with a lot. But take heart, take heart, take heart and please
try not to panic x3.

We hope your Nov 15 visit is a breeze for you, keep telling yourself "if it doesn't kill me
it will just make me stronger".

Sorry things are so sore for you Rachael.

I'm sure things won't be messed up by the general, just take your movicol when you can, and drink plenty of water as soon as you are aloud.

Take care and keep us posted
