Sorry, my last post made no sense... I didn't notice the 6 pages of comments!!!  I am partly interested in your experience because I am going on six months of dealing with this without botox or LIS and although I've improved, I'm really not close to being healed.  Always thinking, "botox or LIS, botox or LIS."  I do appreciate your posts!  Best of luck!  :D

I was told they normally put ppl out when doing botox, but you can have it without if you insist.
Day 22
Think I overshot the lactulose a bit, BM today was very soft, maybe too soft... No real pain, but a good amount of irritation after the BM for some hours. Cutting back on the lactulose to 20.ml a day.

Day 23
Dammit.. Small setback. Had a soft BM, but I guess it was a bit too formed at first. Have been having slight pain all day, and some shooting pain into the right cheek. Grrrr!

Day 24
Soft BM again, but a little formed at first. Caused me some pain, but pretty much gone 4 hours later. Guess I have to keep my BMs at bristol 6 to avoid pain.
Its a bit depressing Im not seeing more progress, Im starting to think I will have to go for LIS in a few months Image

Stay positive JHH, mabs said it could take 6-8 weeks to heal. You're doing so well, keep the BMs soft soft soft!

Thanks W, but Im having huge trouble keeping my BM at bristol 6. They tend to crep up to 4 or 5 once in a while, no matter what I do.
Im sick and tired of having my life on pause, and Im ready to do what it takes to move on!

Hi JHH, do you think the lactulose is working? Are you eating too much fibre?! I had that problem and I cut down a little as the BM was too big. Ugh. I hope that you can get back on track. It is still early days. Keep kicking! Image

Rachael, yeah, I think its doing something, but not quite enough to avoid the plug effect. Will keep fighting and try to figure it out.
Day 25
BM still a little formed at first, but soft. Not much pain during BM, but still some pain after. Today it lasted about 3 hours, and now its just irritation.
