Hello PIA,
Thank you, I hope your healing wishes can help me... I am doing okay, but I think the Botox is wearing off.... After the re-tear a week last Monday, I am trying to calm the monsters down again. BM was okay today, some irritation afterwards. Ugh, life with Fissures sucks

July 2014-Diagnosed High Resting Pressure
LIS performed on 17.9.14
Ongoing pain/re-tears. Awaiting pressure test results.

Chronic Fissure diagnosed December 2011
Healed by Diltiazem around Feb 2013
Anal Fistula followed burst abscess in June 2012
2 internal troublesome piles remain & suspected, but undiagnosed, ongoing Levator Ani type symptoms & flare-ups

Thank you ETO, I love you... So glad you are still on the forum. You give me hope. The weather is sunny today, so I am going to get out in the garden and enjoy some sun, take the bag off my head, so I can get a tan. Lol Image

Hi Rachel.
I hope you are recovering your retear better than me!
Are you considering another round of botox?
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

Not too sure yet, i will see what the CRS says next Monday, but i am not going to go back to that hell pain i was in prior to the Botox, it will kill me. I have had a good few days over the weekend, but today i am a little uncomfortable again... Image Good luck with your Botox, keep us posted.If my CRS suggests LIS, i think i will go for it, as i want my Life back.

Doing okay, I have had a few good days again... but today i am irritated. I see the CRS next week, so i will know then what the next step is. Image Only 10 days to go now for you. How you feeling??

Week 9
Not sure if the Botox is working anymore.... Some pain on BM.. like the Fissure is open, but not as severe as prior to Botox. Afterwards there is a slight burn, but after a bath and rinsing with the shower head too (THANKS ETO, FOR THIS TIP) Image The last few days have been good. I see the CRS on Monday, i either want more Botox or LIS. I just want my life back.... If he says that i am healing, i think that another shot of Botox will be the best option. I am scared of LIS, and the incontinence risk. Image
