Hi folks
I am still here battling my butt :) Will have a rectoscopi and a biopsy taken on Friday. I hope it is just innflammtion and that they have a cure for me.. Thanks all for asking but I have been very busy working lately. Those damn bills are getting bigger and bigger.
Yes buttgirl I have had LIS. My main issue now is that I have a mild form of proctitis and that makes my rectum burn like crazy after a bm the whole day..
Hugs to all off you my friends :)

Tell me about bills LOL - can I send you some of mine Image
Glad to hear the "sample" will be taken soon and you will have a peace of mind :paddysmiley1: Great to hear that you can work full force Image , you will get rid of that burning very soon !!!! Can they give you some topical crams that relive sensation. I know I read somewhere that there are some anal creams with menthol and such for cases like that - I will try to find it again - I read too much and than forget to "ear-mark" (ugh....).
Hold on buddy - you will put that butt of yours in it's place - mark my words Image Image

Hi folks
Tomorrow I will have a biopsy taken from my rectum/anus. Hoping that it is only the proctitis who is making things crazy down there and that there is a cure for me.. I am quite nervous about this and hope they find a solution for my suffering. Worst case scenario is to be told "I see nothing wrong down there so I don`t know what is wrong with you"...
I am working 120% right now. I keeps my mind busy and I don`t think about my ass all the time. Sometimes I feel better and sometimes not..
Another question. Do you think that silver water is dangerous to be used in the anus? I have read that it should be great for innflammation..I hasn`t worked for me when taken in oral.

i hope they can offer you a solution lars! it's the worst when they say they see what's causing your pain but dont' know how to help you. that's my situation now. i'd almost rather they told me i'm crazy and nothing's there. LOL
if it's just proctitis i know there are antibiotics to help with that, in addition to possibly using hydrocortisone and making significant changes in your diet. either way, i'm sure you'll finally get some answers. fingers crossed :)
i'm glad you're staying busy with work, it's awesome that you're able to be productive despite all this.
i've never heard of silver water. what is it??? if it helps inflammation i'm interested!

Good luck buddy Image !!! Let us know ASAP how it went !!!
I do not know a lot about silver water - many swear by it , that is a "silver bullet" for many diseases. I do not think it can do ANY damage if used locally (on the anus). I only know it can cause skin becoming blue (literary) all over the body (like a Smurf), if taken internally for many years.
Best of luck tomorrow , once again, and whatever they find - we will deal with it - OK ??? ; ))) IF they do not find inflammation, it is even better Lars - than your butt just needs some tender care and time to heal and that is all !!! Just do not let them of the hook !!!!Even if they do not see anything they should try to find the way to treat your symptoms and make your life easier !!! Make them do research and consult with other doctors and make a treatment plan for you !!!!! make them give you different meds to try ! It is not possible that you are the only person in the whole Nors world that have such butt problem and they do not now know what to do Image Make them call major med. centers in Oslo or something and ask for proper treatment !!!!! It is their JOB !!!!!

Lars,
It could be a risk vs. benefit game. A lot may (?) depend on what type of silver you are drinking(?) but as a rule, silver can be toxic and accumulates in many areas of the body. Silver Ion suspension may(?) be safer than the colloidal type. I was almost "conned" into trying colloidal trace minerals years ago -- there is really no need for "extra" trace minerals like gold, silver, etc and too much is toxic.
The blue skin discoloration from long-term use Fissy spoke about is argyria and is irreversible. Image It can certainly give you an idea of how silver can permanently build up in one's body.
Of course, topical silver nitrate and other medically-supervised short-term forms would be an exception.
If it were me I'd at least be asking my doctor tomorrow about the stuff!
