Yes, Mirilax is a godsend for me. And yes, I know that sensation of a "pop" or a slow tear when you know the fissure has opened wider or has re-torn. It makes your heart sink. :smilyhug:

Ok had to capture this, today has been a good day! No tugging from my tag, when I clench my sphincter none of that scraping pain and it just feels lovely! My BM hurt a fraction as usual but to be soared the burning tugging pain for the whole day was a godsend. Not doing anything any different.... I'm not counting my chickens!
Suffering since June 2013

Methods tried:
GTN cream - migraines!
Manuka Honey / Coconut oil / Aloe
tag excision X 2, botox x 3
Dilatiazem
dilatation 2 X daily + Retin-C Vitamin Scar Treatment Oil 2 X daily - best thing ever.
Now pain free 2/7/21

Ok so just got back from the crs who examined me, poked and prodded every area to summarise that I'm fine and there is no fissure!!! I've got photos taken last week that prove otherwise and she just Said there was no evidence of them. I'm so gutted. She's sending me to have pelvic floor physio and resting pressures taken and then will 'take it from there'
I feel so disheartened I just want this over and done with. I could actually cry.

I'm so sorry your appointment has left you so upset.
Don't be disheartened yet... Fissures can often be missed.
It's sensible to have all the tests done... And pelvic therapy is a really effective way to lower pressure in there. If you are still unhappy with the outcomes you can ask to be seen by a different CRS for a second opinion.
