Ugh! Sorry to hear that, IT. Still, if AF's teach us anything, it's that the road to recovery is far from smooth! It's still very early days for you post-op, and most journals on here seem to document similar symptoms in the early days, before the bigger improvements come. The fact your pain levels are still low would seem a good sign. Hang tough, stay positive and I'm sure you'll be fine!

IT it's good that you are only at a 3 even with a hard BM especially as it's only a few days after your op and you will still be sensitive in that area.
I'm pretty certain they will just nick the muscle my CRS said they don't go straight through as that increases the risk...he wouldn't do it for me and I begged him and offered to sign anything he liked...still only nicked it although he did say he went a few mm more than normal lol
I'm sure your next BM will be better

So some spasms are normal then I guess. Had a lingering ache for about 2 hours but nothing serious.

I'm guessing that any area that has been operated on even if only minor will ache a bit occasionally....especially if we still have to use it lol

IT - quick question!

Did you use any painkillers post surgery?

I'm pretty sure my system can't tolerate them, I'm still having digestive withdrawal symptoms a month after stopping morphine, so I'm not keen to take any at all...any chance I could survive on tylenol eek?
