Well had a BM yesterday morning Bristol 3 so quite hard but again no pain during and only very slight discomfort after but not for long. After an hour it felt like I hadn't even had a BM.
Lol it's not something I had to work at HTD I'm just very flexible (well apart from my sphincter ) but the down side to that is I can't run and I can't do step classes as my knees have been known to dislocate...very embarrassing :)
Yes thankfully the psyllium seems to be going the job very nicely...I am still staying away from my trigger foods...took my daughter to an ice cream parlour yesterday and watched her eat an amazing looking sundae while I had a glass of water...there was a tear in my eye it looked soooo nice...but nope didn't even risk a spoonful just in case lol

Wow! That's determination and that's good news! Glad the pain is minimal it is likely because of how disciplined you have been. Just sitting through an outing - ice cream parlor for an hour - without having to think about fissure dearest- is a blessing.
Yay psyllium !
Take care

Well had a nasty time with the IBS yesterday...nothing I have eaten I have been good...no stress that I can place really, I do think my bowel is just really prone to this. 4 times in two hours was not pleasant but I guess it's way better than 12.
The poor fissure did hurt quite badly for a good 6 hours but no spasms....I hate to say this but I think I could live with that amount of pain if it was only once a fortnight. Took some loperamide and am debating whether to up my psyllium...I'm on 2 I could go up to 6 I'm a bit scared that if I add more it might turn into a laxative lol.
So swimming and the gym or just the gym....

Sometimes we change nothing but still our BMs decide to change.one Bristol 3 to 4 bms in 2 hours is quite different. I don't believe it's entirely your exercise unless you changed the routine a whole lot. You had mentioned an aerobic work out makes you go more ofte before. Which did u intensify - the swimming or the work out? Maybe you could do both but one notch less?
Probably not your diet either - you seem to have been pretty good with avoiding precipitants.
The psyllium -How about 2 to 4 rather than 6 so it's not a huge jump. You have been mentioning the oregano oil. Did you use that ? Could that be it?
It's puzzling I know but think back to try and put your finger on what might have been different. Re read your diary - it may give you a clue.
The only thing I can say if you have eliminated any major change is it's just the IBS acting up for no good reason. Hang in there

I think it's just my body being annoying to be honest as I didn't really up my exercise much that day. Think it's something I have to live with but at least when I'm being careful and taking the psyllium it happens a lot less than before so I will just keep going lol I may try adding a pysllium in before bed perhaps I know some people with IBS do that.
I only put the oregano oil on the fissure so I'm assuming it couldn't be that lol.
Yesterday was ok still a bit sore from the BMs bit managed swimming had a long walk today and only got sore towards the end. It def gets better quicker since the Botox so I'm hoping after my LIS it will stay that way.
We are having a family BBQ tonight and I was going to attempt a small glass of wine...not going to try that after my 4 watery BMs though gggrrrr stupid fissure doesn't want me having a good time lol

Well the BBQ was fun the after effects not so much,
I had a tiny bit of Buck's Fizz and dont know if it was that or the food but off I went to the toilet went once took some loperamide and only went twice after. I think I may take the loperamide before I eat from now on but I don't want to risk constipation. Oh the dilemmas of having a awkward bowel lol. I only had a burger and a sausage so think it must have been the wine...
Well the pain went after about 6 hours so today I'm of out for breakfast with my daughter...I'm safe with that I know my bowel likes it...I used to be so adventurous with food...I loved to try new things...I have eaten snails you know...now I shudder at something like....avocado and poached eggs lol
Hope you have had a good weekend HTD and that your fissure has played nice

Sorry to hear it did not play so nice. Funnily enough your bad days are often my bad days and today has been rough so far. I hope it's easier today for you . Do you think it's the burger? Or the sausage?
It's so much deduction work every day and figuring out patterns. Hopefully it's a quality day with your family. Take the pain med it's ok to do that. Loperamide sounds good if you are having frequent BM.
Hang in there friend. Better days to come.
Hugs,

Hi HTD,
Sorry you are having a bad day...we do seem a bit co-ordinated lol
Today has been good thanx had a BM this morning Bristol 3 to 4 no pain during and just a bit of stinging after, but only for an hour. I wish I could get the balance to keep my BMs once a day and at a Bristol 3 as my sphincter obviously prefers that much more than the watery BMs. Had a nice breakfast and then went shopping all pain free.
Think it must have been the alcohol unless it was the juice, as I have sausage and burger quite a bit...unless it was because they were barbecued, could that make a difference I wonder...something new to ponder now the method of cooking the food...I'm beginning to feel like Sherlock Holmes of the colon at the moment :D
I might have a word with my GP and see if taking a codeine every night is ok as maybe that has an impact.
It's nice to have a good day after an awful one....here's looking forward to much better days
