Thanks patience and healing. I'm going to phone the nurse back today. He said it was probably ok as long as I was taking stool softners and drinking lots - and I'm eating very little, mostly ensure drinks. But I'll call back just in case. It's very worrying to me that I haven't but I'm scared to try to push too hard or anything, it is very sore still. I'm worried to go but also not to!
Oh no Hun was hoping you might have had some improvement. Could you maybe write down everything you have eaten as maybe that might show whether you actually need a BM I remember in my early 20 during a pretty bad crohns flare I hardly ate due to fear and went nearly 7 days with no BM as there wasn't enough to come out. This is going to sound odd but could you eat something you know will make you go even if it means you go a couple of times just to get a BM out of the way. I really feel for you GG you have been through so much Big hugs
Thanks mpb. I know it hasn't been very much. 2 ensures during the day, normally a couple of ginger cookies and maybe a half a banana and a bit of toast if I'm feeling less nauseous...not much at all. And I'm not greatly bloated, just feel a little uncomfortable and full. I called and the nurse is going to ask the doctor. They may want me to go in, but I'm suspecting they'll ask me to try a senna laxative first.
Probably best if you can go yourself but if a laxative is what it takes to get things moving then maybe that's what you will have to do. At least you are feeling a bit more comfortable and not feeling as sick which is a good sign.
GG, for what it's worth when I had my 5 and 6 th babies that were twins, the first was born natural then I had to have an emergency C section to deliver the second baby. (I also had Hellp syndrome) Pretty traumatic and could not go for 10 days, I was in pain everywhere down there... all I ate was english muffins, and colace. I had so many stitches everywhere, down there and I had a huge stomach incision top to bottom since it was an emergency. FINALLY I went a little bit and although everything was sluggish and out of whack it did get better, now as I recall that part was pretty awful. So I am sure you will be able to go again soon. They moved my intestines all around that time, probably never put them back where they belonged, That explains alot!! haha... Hang in there kiddo. You can do this...
yes gals, the AF warriors are marching on.... we will be healed and by the grace of God, completely pain free, I am convinced miracles are still going to happen. We are just waiting our turn!!! xo love to all.
GG: I am in a similar situation after fistulotomy one week ago- miralax in increasing dose every morningand benefiber yesterday afternoon- was able to go this am, but still in pain! Would love to take more pain medicine, but worried of side effects. Hope you are doing ok.
