Sorry you're having a rough recovery too zinna! It's not fun

I tried miralax last night hoping it would do the trick but no luck. Just gave me an upset stomach. Even just trying to pass gas causes me pain for hours...but I'm going to have to try the senna laxative tonight.

Every day is getting harder, it's hard to even get up and shower, I just want this to end

Oh no GG I feel so bad for you Hun. Maybe the senna will do the trick. It's not great that you have to take it but hey it's been a while now Hun so it is probably the last push your body needs.
I'm sure once you have a normal BM things will ease.
Are you still in as much pain has the swelling gone down a bit. Really hope the senna does the trick as it's so unfair you have to suffer like this

I was getting ready to take dulcolax like before a colonoscopy prep- now I think I will see what happens with all this other stuff in me. Have you considered a fleet enema? My doc said that would be ok. I use a little bulb syringe one with warm water too just to help things feel clean in there.

Yes I've considered it, since I've used them before, but I thought it might not be a good idea with the incision? Maybe I should try. Will have to if the senna doesn't work! Thanks for the tip zinna. This is frustrating!

my doc said it wouldn't "hurt" incision, though it might be uncomfortable. I tread lightly. He just said do anything not to be blocked. It is awful feeling so clogged.

Thanks again. I gave it a try carefully but no luck. I took the senna last night and it did nothing. Of course it's Easter weekend so I can't phone the doctor and emergency will be hellish. I just took another dose of the laxative hope it will help over the day sometime.

I'm exhausted and fed up. I've never gone more than three or four days without going even when taking painkillers. I'm eating only a little so I'm sure that's contributing, but the more days that go by the more full I feel - and the less I want to drink and eat.

I really don't want to have to go to the hospital for help, this whole thing has been humiliating enough so far.

I guess if the worst happens I could take the remaining pico salax I have left from colonoscopy prep...but I know that was no fun at all.

GG- I have taken magnesium supplements as they are supposed to be good for other things- and omg i had emergency trips to bathroom. Also anything sugar free- I ate a "think thin' Protein bar which has maltitol in it and it gave me terrible D. I am not saying go crazy- I think once you start going you will be going for a while. I bet the senna kicks in today- maybe after a bowl of oatmeal? I am with you , going little bits, but not full out.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping the laxative will kick in at some point today. Zinna you're right, but also even eating little it's not normal for me to go so long without going, so I guess that's why I'm worried.

I just have no appetite, I wish I felt like eating more but it just makes me feel sick. I'll just have to try I guess. The pain is still quite bad, I'm surprised to say. It's not bad if I'm lying down, but sitting up aggravates it, and passing gas still causes very sharp pain, so I'm sure it won't be pleasant to go. I hope that at least it has had some chance to heal without going for so long, but it doesn't feel like it.

Again, I have a feeling I maybe didn't make the best choice in surgeon, or maybe I'm just more sensitive than others to the pain, but healing doesn't seem to be going too quickly
