So its been a tough week. Pretty sure I re-opened my fissure about a week ago and went through a few pretty horrible days, in pain all day long, unable to find a comfortable position/stance to pass the hours and not even any respite when I went to sleep (or tried!). This really had me as down in the dumps as I've been, since all this started.
But a little light at the end of the tunnel and things have picked up a bit the last couple of days, so maybe that's thanks to the reduced pressure of the IS post-LIS allowing quicker healing? I'm still a long way from where I want to be, and where I'd hoped to be as I approach the 7 week mark (still only able to walk short distances at a snails pace, anything quicker and the burning and pulling comes on) but at least the pain is only temporary again now.
I'm due to see my CRS for the first time post-op tomorrow, so finally I'll have a clearer picture (hopefully!) of what's going on down there...just hope he can give me something positive to hang on to, as really can't stand the thought of more surgery.
