Do you take supplements? I religiously take
Vit c
Vit d3
Vit and minerals
Magnesium

The diet that helps the most is
3 pieces of wholemeal toast (english bread!) With peanut butter and cucumber slices on top. I spread this out throught the day and never all at once.
2 litres of water - no sugary drinks or diet soda
2 -3 meals of salad (cucumber, tomatoes and bell peppers) with either scrambled eggs/poached eggs and/or tuna.
My main "treat" is Mr Whippy Icecream which i seem to be able to handle.

Just one question - do you use toilet paper or wipes?

no - I use coldish water with the shower head and since there are so much skin scar tissue - i just leave it cause by touching I might irritate micro tears .... also I avoid touching my anus cause it gives me panic attacks realising how shut down and tight it is and impossible to fit finger inside..... I ate yesterday and today papayas and mangoes - to soften stools... also i have few pebbles stools stuck at the entrance but I am unable to evacuate them with breathing and MOOOO- too much pressure and scar tissue- so i just will leave it till big BM will push it out.... I do not know if thats normal to have so much scar tissue and pressure that tinny balls of stools are like stuck in between at the entrance?

I was tight like that a few months ago i had fecal impaction. I have taken most of the stressers out of my life except one. Watching the news first thing in the morning got me stressed. Sounds silly. If there is any stress u can control and eliminate it will help the sphincter relax. It might be stress that you dont even see as stress. What has your pelvic floor physio said?

Hello,
I was wondering if you still get sharp pains at 1 or 2 sites DURING BM ? I am getting that with big stools and It doesnt wanna subside----- Rich44 member told that I have to continuer with normal BM - so my sphincter works properly.... I do not wanna go on food softeners

Many apologies for the delay in replying. I have had a chest infection

Depending on what i eat i rarely do. Unless i eat too much fibre or have ice cream or something with too much sugar. I am not where i want to be yet but still continuing with physio breathing. I am also being referred to a better "specialist" pelvic floor physio. So i'm looking forward to that.

My advice is take food softners! Start out with 1 sachet or even half a sachet a day and see how you go. I take 1 sachet at 11 am and 1 and 11pm.

Yes i used to have all of those symptoms. I can especially relate to dry stools. I rarely get that now if im on top of my diet. Too much fibre with a tight sphincter caused this for me.
As my colorectal nurse pointed out, solving this is a bit like putting the jigsaw pieces together. Getting yourself to relax during bowel movements and breathing properly, right BALANCED diet, ANUSOL (game changer!!!) Stool softerners, skin tag removal, pelvic floor physio and eliminating stress from your life as much as you can (which i believe is my final jigsaw piece).
Think about it - if you could improve each of those areas by just 10%....

Ask me as many questions as you like and i will reply. We are all in this together.

thank you for your reply, Dear Neil!

yes stress and worry are the worse- but this injury is a package of all emotional trauma and fear... I am not touching skin tags scar tissue - cause member Hazey123 had a 3 years long recovery after fissure caused by skin tag removal... if I correctly understand - during day you almost ok ish or minimal discomfort or sensations? what exactly do you feel DURING BM? spikes and mild scratching sensations ? also many sufferers notice that eating less prevents from having big size stools.... so I am eating less... also do you hav some kind of PTSD related to what we have live through?
thanks for being here and your support and may God will keep our healing within his Loving Grace!
