Yeah if you had a fissurectomy at the same time as your LIS then i imagine it would take a little while longer to heal as you have a whole new wound but you should be well on your way now.
I actually live in Central London (Covent Garden) so yeah we have an abundance of pizza shops around here (Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, Dominos, etc.) although i have always favoured Dominos over Pizza Hut for some reason(Saying that i would still kill for a Pizza Hut right now).
By the way your comment, "a pizza with lots of melted cheese and a thick, soft crust" is like Pizza porn to me - do you realise what you are doing to me??? :D
The thing i can't wait for is to go back to the gym and start doing my Cardio again, I used to love my lunchtime sessions. Is your Schwinn a road bike or a mountain bike? I have a Scott, a Marin and an Orange mountain bike at my home in the North East and i used to regular go riding over the North Yorkshire Moors - Cycling is way less fun in London!

Davo, my hubby lived in England for six months, back when he was in college - and I asked him about the area. (He loves the UK!) He said he lived in Norwich - and he says his bike "fantasy" is to ride from Edinburgh to Inverness. --- I'm in central California, where the weather is good most of the year. My neighborhood is an older one - lots of trees and streets where bike riding is pleasant. --- I would imagine that bike riding in London would be difficult, lol.
I'm a bit of a retro gal -- and my bike is a c. 1950, restored Schwinn - lovely - but with only one speed. It's fun to ride and just right for my purposes. --- But that seat! I just cannot fathom sitting my tender bottom on that bike seat right now. Might be awhile.
I do believe that having the two procedures is more difficult to get past. I'm better, but I had a setback several days' ago and have had to get back on track. That said, I'm glad I had the surgery. I'm glad it's over with and that I can concentrate on recovering, so that I can get my life back. I feel like I've lost the past six months, what with dealing with the fissure.
LOL - pizza porn?? Oh, you would have loved the pizza we had last night - mouth watering. I was so glad to be able to eat it - and just feel like a normal person, again. --- I think the best pizza I've ever eaten was in Chicago, where they're known for making some of the most delicious pizza in the country.
