Day 28 update. No real pain on BM. BM seems to be improving, no straining. All feels looser back there.
Yesterday was a good day! Lets hope this can continue. I am praying to god that I am healing..... Image

Hi Rachael....so glad to hear you are improving day by day. It must be doing wonders for your whole well being!! I'm so pleased. Xx
Yes, I ordered the HEMOCLIN... I could only use it twice... It irritated me. It is mostly made of alovera, and I don't get on too great with that.
Yes, prolonged use of high dose hydrocortisone does lead to thinning of the skin, so I suggest you follow the instructions in the box and only use it for 7 days....... But when I spoke to the private crs about it, he said its such a small dose it's unlikely to do any damage if used for a short period.

Hope you are continuing your upward trend! The various sensations with this whole experience are so annoying! I have a chronic fissure (considering botox or surgery soon), and significant sentinel pile. When I walk it seems to trigger more discomfort and there's a sense of crunchiness about the area. I guess it's better than days of severe pain or butt cramps (spasms), but I sure look forward to days without any of this! I hope you'll keep us posted on your process and good luck with the ointment! :)

Day 30 update... Weird BM a little bit of pricking pain... Panic!! Then strangely no real pain all day, just the damn annoying tingling and the grape is still sore. Doc has given me proctosedyl ointment to apply. Seems to be taking the pain down. Will only use for 1 week, don't want to thin the skin!
I agree Just pain tired, bring on the day when we can wake up with normal bottoms. It will be bliss. Good luck with what you decide. I am just scared the Botox will wear off and I will be in pain again. Image

Glad to see you are still on the uphill climb!! All I can say is hang in there......I think that's what we all are trying to do. :) I'm 9 days since botox and fissure site is still sore but bearable. Injection sights are not as sore any more. But by the end of the day I feel like my insides are hanging out my butt, just so much pressure feeling. Is this normal with botox?

Hi JD! Glad you are improving. I too get that weird full pressure feeling, I put it down to the muscles relaxing?! When I posted the other day I had loads of gas and felt like I would poop myself! Ugh. My CRS said that gas is a side effect, but not too sure on the weird tingling pressure feeling?! Image

Did your CRS give you any ideas for gas management? For example, I sometimes use 'Gas-Ex', like when I'm trying to work for the afternoon and don't want to offend my customers! I don't know if this is discouraged or not--haven't asked my doctors. But it gives me a little piece of mind. I just wondered if it might be useful for people post-Botox, when 'gas incontinence' can be an issue! Image

Day 32 update
No pain on BM.. Yesterday was the best day I have had so far since Botox... Knock on lots of wood... And more wood. I am scared to say just incase I jinx it. The external hem has shrunk with the use of the Proctosedyl and it is less sore. Please let this continue. I am scared the Botox will wear off and potentially I could be in pain again.
Just pain tired, I have never heard of the meds for gas! My CRS didn't mention anything. Give me gas any day over the pain!

Hi Rachael
Nice to hear you are getting better!
How long after botox did it take to get back to the pain level before botox?
Having botox next week, and would like to know what to expect...
Thanks

Hey Rachael, Glad to hear you are going forward. No point worrying about when the Botox runs out. The aim as you know is to loosen things up enough to allow the fissure to heal. For me I am using the time to get my digestive function as constant as possible so I will be able to stay healed. Learning to fully look after myself. I feel we have been sent a lesson to learn to attend to our lifestyle and diet. I was the queen of the fast life, coffee, coke, red meats and highly processed foods. I am so much healthier and much more able to heal my fissure if it should ever return.
Whilst my fissure is not completely healed, I appreciate every bit of my life so much more. Ha ha I sound like Ever the Optimist. Image Keep healing friend. Xx Pia
