All of my family and doctors are in California, that is my struggle. But you are very smart. I thought these same things. I am taking some medical records showing I was diagnosed with anal fissure, and many other issues. Thank you again. Keep suggestions coming if you think of them.

Hi GG sorry to hear your no better, hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon Hun.
Ryleighsmama....could you ask for gabapentin not sure what it's called in the US but it's not as strictly controlled as opiate painkillers or lithium and has been the only thing and trust me I tried it all including at one very desperate point 6 Valium. Nothing even touched the pain. The gabapentin took the pain down from screaming rolling on the floor agony to about a level 6.
Good luck

Hi my poor butt,
I am on both those meds for mental health reasons. I feel doomed. I guess I just have to wait until 1/12. You are all awesome!!

Oh I thought maybe on the East Coast, I could help recommend but I have no contacts there. But either way, possibly contact your local hospital and inquire with a Surgeon about the Botox Procedure it is less invasive then a Sphincterotomy and possibly they could schedule sooner. Also in the meantime I know your pain, it is incredibly painful no one should have to suffer this, but we are stronger and tougher than we give ourselves credit for. Prayers willbe heard

Just an update - no improvment so far on antibiotics - today was just about the fifth day out of ten.

Will be trying to call doctors tomorrow to get blood work results and trying the gastro again to beg to be seen.

The antibiotics are making me nauseous and headachy, I'm in a fog. Hoping that once I am off then I will feel better than before I went on them.

Petrified the docs are going to brush this off as ibs, there is NO WAY.

One thing is, it began so gradually....first with increased gas for a couple hours a day which would subside, then the diarrhea slowly started, then everyday got worse until I was passing gas all day and diarrhea was awful...

To me, this escalation of symptoms so quickly is not typical of ibs

Could you have of touch of food poisoning possibly... that takes time to go away since alot of times cannot pinpoint the culprit always? Possibly something to neutralize this... have you taken an alkaline test for acidity or alkaline they have test strips that could help them to determine...Ginger helps the nausea antibiotics and certain meds give a delayed reaction that builds up slowly and maybe needs to have more time to settle out of your system and the new meds just are not agreeing or possibly keeping it active or aggragated, maybe a holistic practitioner so they can treat all of the aspects maybe?? Hope you get relief very soon. I am hoping mine if healing, not as much pain just this clenched tight muscle feels closed, as this heals and this smooths back out and relaxes back to normal pressure I just might be alright and back to normal... Are you still having the tightness since all of this stirring things back up? OR are you healed enough that the tightness and pressure and charlie horse feeling have stayed away fo ryou? I have not been able to work at all since cannot sit down,, phobic to I guess. ???

Thanks mamafizz. This has made the tightness somewhat worse, not quite that "golf ball" feeling but definitely the sphincter is sore and tight. I have lots of burning in the rectal area
