Day 25 on nitro, and I may be in trouble...
Had a harder than usual BM this morning. Not the plug effect, but the whole BM was just harder. I think it was caused by the chicken I had for supper yesterday.
Anyway, after BM I cant feel the hard scab anymore, so I think I lost it. This same thing happend nearly 14 days ago, caused by a plug, and I had a setback that took a week to recover from. Now Im scared, I lost the scab prematurly again, and will have another major setback.
The next hours will tell, so I will report back later.

That's not good news JHH. I actually stopped eating chicken unless in very small quantity as it has the same effect on me. Meat seems to really bulk me up.
It's boring but for guaranteed softness you can't get any better than fish. I hope you're ok today. I'm going away for the weekend but I believe there is WiFi so will try and get on later to see how you are. :)

A little update...
To make matters worse I had to go for another BM about an hour after the first. This always makes the burn worse.
Right now my pain is worse than the past 4 days, but not as bad as it was when it was most painfill. I guess its somewhere in the middle. Pain is about 5/10, but Im still bummed out by this setback. Not what I needed now!
Gotta stay away from chicken!

Sorry to hear this JHH. Try magnesium supplements, you never know they might work. I have found I can eat chicken and still get soft poop taking the magnesium as well as stool softener. I take Macrogol which draws water into the bowel and softens everything. I even had a wholemeal wrap with chicken, then I panicked thinking it might be too much. But it was okay next morning. If I eat any healthier I am gonna be 5 stone and wasting away! Lol
Seabass lastnight was lovely. I have also found that I can still have Feta Cheese! I know cheese can irritate some people. Xx

Rachael, thanks for your reply. Im already on magnesium.
Im pretty sure I just have to keep doing what I have been, but I really need to watch out for changes.
Im having spasms again now, so I really messed up. (was spasm free for 4 days)

JHH remember, measure your progress over weeks not days. You have had 4 good days and just 1 bad day. This is good progress! I'm still having bad days, today is one, the difference is irritation rather than pain. Keep going with your routine and fish for the win!! :)
Rachael.. I'm not going anywhere until you guys are better, so don't worry Image

Well; went back to see Dr. today. I have to go back so he can put another drain in and then do a flap procedure. Is this ever going to end; very frustrated at this point. Damn fissure ' cats' ; thats what I call them.

You're just not distracted by me moaning on about my butt all day Image I had a load of alcohol yesterday and seem to be better than yesterday - makes no sense!
Psychological factors are definitely at play with fissure pain, so don't forget if you are not feeling positive your fissure will hurt more. I know I'm healed and yet I'm still having pain from spasms.... if I worry about it, it gets worse! Sometimes I forget and the pain goes, then I notice its not hurting and the pain returns! Your mind is very powerful, so stay positive... :)
I find coding helps to take my mind off things. Get Windows 7 installed and do some coding Image
