And yes the set backs are the hardest part! And not having a timeframe that you can count on. The one thing that you can count on until you heal is being able to vent on this forum anytime day or night and get replies :D

I felt that way too. Now that I read on here enough info to keep things comfortable, even when at its worst, I know I can deal. My CRS says mine is chronic and down to the muscle. Hoping to heal with creams. As long as I can keep doing my day to day routine, I can handle pain knowing I can get it under control. I work home health, and let me tell you, I know where the bathroom in every facility and along the way is and I spend many hours of the day driving with an icepack up my fanny. Ice rules. Don't feel down. Never surrender! Image

Definitely try sitz baths. They are a huge help in relieving discomfort, even if you just use warm water or if you can sit in a warm bath. Be diligent about the nitro. I have finally been pain free for over 1 week after 9 months of pain.

How are you today JHH? I didn't use the Nitro and had great difficulty passing this mornings BM. Whilst I didn't retear, it has resulted in a whole day of cramp like pains in my ass. My BM was like toothpaste as well - very soft but impossible to fit out my pin hole of an ass. It's so tight I'm struggling to break wind. I'm healed but seem to be in more trouble than ever somehow. Gutting :(
The only good thing is less burning! I'm wondering if I need to other cream just to calm the spasms down.

Day 27 on nitro
Had a nice soft BM, but it did hurt a bit more than usual.
Aftermatch was pretty much like what Im used too now. About 4 hours of burning, prickeling, and discomfort. Pain about 3/10. Was out driving, and it agrivated things.
Seems to go back to what I had in the 4 'good' days, however since fridays splash BM, I feel more painless discomfort during the rest of the day. (and night)
Im sorry to hear, you are still moving backwards. Yes, maybe its time to consider diltiazem!

Crackingup if you are having a hard time passing stools because of tightness you may need to have the pressure in your anal muscle test, because sometimes if the sphincter doesn't get lose you will never get that fissure properly heal.
One thing that I am very sure off, is that after a while my sphincter did got more relaxed and now is lose enough, you should be getting more relaxed in the sphincter no worst that is what the nitro is suppouse to help you with.
Take care my friend.

My fissure feels like it is healing after being on miralax for over a month and I feel really tight too. I might do anal dilation after fissure heals. I'm going to do miralax for a year then maybe try dilation.

If I ever heal from this, I will treat my body as a temple for the rest of my life!

Me too! I am worried, to top it off after my rant yesterday I have found a purple lump on the outside of my bum hole. Could this possibly be an external hemmoroid?!
Please god I cannot take anything else. This is truly horrible, frustrating and damn soul destroying.......

Search for standardised anal dilation... it sounds amazing! Basically they fix you with a balloon! No pain or cuts, and works the ver same day! :)
