Hi J,
Yes, I have considered surgery, not any Botox now, just don't think it will end this hell for good. I just pray this new CRS can help me! I'm losing the will to live, especially after the old CRS said everything looked normal. My appointment is 10th April. I have had to wait 3 months! Again. How are you now? Still going good I hope. X

Hi R

Im doing good thanks!

Lets look at it this way:

1. Some fissures are hard to see. Even for a CRS.
2. Your pain started when you got fissures.
This makes me think you still have fissures.

My thoughts about surgery:

1. Botox made you relative painfree.
2. Botox did not heal you.
This makes me think, that if botox helped, why shouldnt LIS, since botox can be considered a temporary LIS.
And if you are still scared of LIS, then why not another round of botox, just to ease the pain.

You have dealt with this crap for nearly 2 years. I dont think the monster is going to go away by its own.

Please try to remeber that there will be an end to this. Dont loose faith!

Hi J,
I couldn't have put it better myself! I can't believe how long I've put up with it.... Some days I don't know how I go on. It definitely isn't healing on its own. I get some form of pain or irritation with any BM now and I take more Movicol. Just cannot beat it myself now. Thanks J for your encouraging words, I'll try not to lose faith! God knows what i would do without this forum. So glad you pop in to see us still. So glad you are doing well my friend! X

Sorry R :(

I really hope your CRS comes up with a better plan, than just time, sitzbaths and fiber.

Good luck tomorrow!

Update. New CRS visit......
I was as nervous as hell today! It was the thought of seeing another CRS..... I was in there a good half hour, and I made sure I was clear in my head what I was going to say before I got in there. He started off by introducing himself and then asking me what I do for a living, my age, and then said tell me what's been going on, from the start..... So I explained the hell of all of the last year and seven months. He wants to do pressure tests and an ultra sound to see the thickness of my muscle. He thinks that I may have a high resting pressure and that I'm in spasm most of the time would explain the re-tears and the all day long pain. When he examined me he said I look almost healed, but when he pressed at 110clock I felt soreness and pain. When I re-tear this is where I get the most pain.... So, it's a waiting game again.... He doesn't want to do more Botox, as it's a temporary measure. He wants to see me again after the tests to discuss what to do. Now if it's low resting pressure, god knows what will happen. It's Sod's law that when I go for my appointments the fissures are not at their worst. Fingers crossed I won't have to live with this for the rest of my life.

Good news that this CRS is at least performing more tests and not band-aid this with more botox! When is your pressure test? He couldn't do it right then? When I saw my last CRS she did the test right there. My fissure wasn't acting terrible at the time either and was healed over with scar tissue but has definitely re-torn since then. Your situation sounds just like mine from the start date right down to having IBS. My CRS said my high resting pressure, which is TRIPLE the normal pressure, is very much due to my IBS and the tightening I seem to naturally do.

I'll continue praying for you!!!!
