Date: Aug 24th 3:30 AM
Days since last BM: 1+
Bristol: 4.5
Swelling: minor
Blood: no
BM pain: 0-2
Post BM pain: 2-3
Spasm: yes
Hours in bed: 4, wasn't able to fall asleep till 7:30 AM
Pain next day: 0-1
Unexpectedly hard stool after just 1 day. The meat balls I had the day earlier took their toll. Anything harder than Bristol 5 will still cause pain. Not a whole lot, but it seems even a 2-3 will keep me awake.
I haven't had my 2 liters of water either, probably only 1-1.5 L. This is how easy is to get off track.

We know the game, more fruits, water, mushy foods, laxatives. Can't go wrong. Still getting some pain peaking 3 to 4 hours after BM. That's a 50% reduction in duration of pain (was 8-9h before) and much more in intensity.

Way to go! It's good that I'm having daily BMs lately. I'm hoping for some good news on the next checkup, something like 1 mm in length. It does feel small, like a paper cut. In fact I can't even feel the exact location, just some discomfort during BM and some spasm afterwards.

Hay bgd, glad your doing better, Your diary sound's so familiar, the pain in the beginning does become less and less.
You will see the spasm's will end, about all I get now is umm, after a soft BM, about an hour or two just some discomfort, but goes away with some gentle bending, stretching and walking.
Of course we will have to watch our eating pattern's, and that's OK, makes us healthier, stronger..:D  Keep up the good work, your doing great.

Another beautiful crap, fast and soft. Had to hold it back on the airplane then barely made it to the hotel where it just exploded, before I had the chance to lube. No issues afterwards.
However next day I couldn't resist the temptation of free Swedish food, so I over ate with eggs, chess and salami... and a bit of cake... Luckily they ran out of dogs at the 7-11 by the evening. Tried to compensate with fruits and veggies and took 2 laxatives, will see how it goes tomorrow.

Anal abscess?

Postby bgd » 31 Aug 2013, 16:07

I discovered something behind my anus that feels like a hard pimple under the skin. It's sensitive to pressing and it seems to be growing under the skin. I'm afraid it's an abscess about to form.

Hey bgd,
I hope it's not an abscess. Just wanted to ask you I've noticed you don't have a BM everyday??? Do you take stool softeners everyday? I take them everyday but once or twice a wk I don't have a BM at all

Hi!
I don't take softeners regularly, only on occasions. I don't think it's something to worry about, given you manage to keep the stool soft anyway.
