Date: Aug 11th 4:30 PM
Days since last BM: 1
Bristol: 5-6
Swelling: minor
Blood: no
BM pain: 1
Post BM pain: 1-2
Spasm: not really
Hours in bed: 0, doing regular activities after BM
Pain next day: 0-1
Slowly getting to daily BMs, as it would be normal. Still using vaseline, just to be on the safe side. I felt a 2nd soft BM coming some hours later, however I wasn't brave enough to go for it, so I just held it back. Could've been a fake one also, as I went overboard with ointments, might have injected too much (like 2ml)

Unusually strong pain for a soft BM. Woke up a couple of times during the night.
I also got pain 2 days after BM, very uncommon.

Hours in bed: 7-8, fell asleep only around 5AM
Pain next day: 1-2
Unexplainable bleeding episode. BM passed easily. I had some discomfort even before BM so I knew it's gonna hurt this time. I'm afraid I'm gonna be up all night again.

Hope you're not up all night!  I'll encourage you to go ahead and have a bm when the urge knocks.  The longer the stool stays in the colon the drier and harder it gets.  In my opinion, it's better to pass more frequent stools that are softer vs. fewer that are harder. Plus, the more veggies you eat the more likely you are to have more frequent stools (and then add stool softeners). Either way it's a balancing act and don't be too hard on yourself.  Just grab a glass of water and enjoy those fluids!  My mantra for the morning bm (usually the bulkiest and hardest) has been:  "oatmeal, nice soft oatmeal.."  referring to the AF-friendly breakfast I ate a day ealier!Image

Not a very soft stool on a still somewhat sore arse, only one day since previous BM, so I was expecting the worst. However it was more than OK. Quite strange that the previous 2 BMs caused more pain, although stool was softer. I tend to believe that there is factor of randomness involved also, based on how fast the vaseline washes off allowing the last part of the stool to get in contact with the fissure.

Felt some more burning then usual with the last part of stool, so I expected more pain afterwards, but it was all OK.

Thanks! I really need to be super careful now. I had a big schnitzel yesterday and I already feel guilty. I'll stay on fruits all day today.

This one almost felt like a good massage. If I could have this consistency everytime.
I also postponed checkup today with 2 weeks. I just don't wanna have my progress ruined again.
