Day one post op.

No sleep overnight pain got so bad. It's just like a constant burning there all the time. Got up and felt a strong urge to go to the loo, couldn't go and gave up as I didn't want to push. I'm downstairs now and taken some paracetamol. Pain is 9/10 and I'm really struggling. They discharged me with codeine but I don't want to get constipated on that! If family weren't around me now I'd just scream into a pillow.
Arghhhh

Had my first bowel motion. Lots of blood streaked on the stools with lots of pain. Got into a hot bath which helped - still very sore though

You can always take neurofen along with your paracetamol. I think this combo will have a better effect, and will be non constipating.

Lots and lots of rest. A couple more days and things will improve.

Day 2.... No BM yet. Got some sleep last night! The throbbing pain has stopped. Only getting a twinge of pain now and then like before my op. I'm slightly worried this could mean the bands have fallen off?! Doesn't feel right to feel this good in only a few days.

FF, I think this is perfectly normal. It may just mean that the bands have partially cut through and this reduces the pressure, which reduces the pain. Sounds like things are going well. Hope your next BM is less painful and things continue to get better for you.

Thanks :) keeping my fingers crossed. My fissure hurts more today it's more of a dull pain though - maybe Botox is taking effect? Just for the record - I hate fybogel! Lol

Your fissure could be aggravated from the EUA and also the spasm from the hemmies being banded. The botox should kick in soon and help that a lot.

What is wrong with fybogel? Do you have miralax there? That works well for me.

Day 3... Had my BM early. Pain on passing from the fissure but no blood today. My cheeks feel like they're hurting today post BM? Not my normal spasm!
