I had that happen to me once right after my surgery, Lars. Do what you can to keep your stools formed and not too soft.

Fissure pain is still there but it i less than before LIS. My ass feels very sore but I guess that is normal. It is 9 days since LIS. I hope I can still heal 100 %. Does anyone have had pain from the inciscion site? I can not see it from the outside at all. Am wondering it some off the discomfort is coming from there and that it was cut inside...

Lars , go and see the LIS video I posted couple of weeks ago. It is done outside, by the anus and usually closes very fast and is so tiny (about 5-10 mm long), that if you do not look first 2 days for it, and know where to look it is almost impossible to see it ! It closes very fast - after my first LIS it closed in 2 days completely, after second also 2-3 days. I think that what you feel is fissurectomy wound and
don't forget that that procedure takes LONGER to heal. About 12 weeks at least !
Be patient and keep pampering your behind and all will be just great Image !!!

fissurectomy wound can take up to 12 weeks to heal. my dr said i have stitches in mine that can take up to 8 weeks to dissolve. that's a long time! he also told me i should expect to feel pokes and pains for months after potentially. even scar tissue can be painful.
you are only 9 days out. please stop worrying, it takes lots of time and patience. you had major surgery 9 days ago and you cannot even expect to feel good this soon. i am 4 1/2 weeks out from my surgery now and still have pains. we had the same surgery so i think my advice is pretty sound. there's no need for you to worry now.

It will take time to heal. You have to be patient.you will see some improvement each week.even i was very depressed initially after the surgery but i realised i have to be patient and let it heal.worrying will only worsen it.
Take care

Dear Lars - I am so sorry for the pain you felt - but it is unfortunately expected from time to time until you heal completely Image ! As long as your poop is soft you have nothing to worry about. Maybe it was little bit too mushy and was full of the stomach acid and it burns the wound :( . Although painful - it does not do damage , just causes worry and discomfort. Did you try a long soak afterwards? Also, try to eat pretty bland diet, you know, no spices, or very sour things and no alcohol yet either and such. But again, our butts sometimes just act weird with no apparent reason . The other day I had a big BM and was sure that pain will follow and that my skin tag will enlarge when I look at it - guess what - NOTHING. This afternoon I had thin poop and now i feel some pain Image and irritation . It is maddening LOL, but try to ignore those little mishaps - ALL is normal in the first 12 weeks , even longer with more complicated procedures. Sometimes you might even feel a pain upper in the anus or even tail-bone - butts are crazy entities and we have to accept that and try not to panic.
You are basically "fresh of the knife" LOL, and I know that you can't wait to be normal again and especially after good day, a bad one can make us despair since we had a glimpse of a GOOD LIFE !!! So, I completely understand you, Lars buddy, just you have to be patient and be ready for those crazy pains from time to time until one day you will be FREE again and it will happen in couple of months.
Do you have any understanding friends that can spend time with you on bad days, or family - brothers or sisters ? It must be hard to be all alone in new house and having to deal with this Image .
But you have us , at least , and it is OK to whine here and express your feelings - that is why this place exist.
I am sure next day will be much better for you Image

The most recent posts are right on the money. All these things are to be expected. Lars i had the same major surgery you had and experienced alot of what you are going through. Just be patient, and like someone said dont eat spicy foods and stay off the bum. Drink lots of water as usual.
Good luck to you,
Bernard

Thanks fissy, Juney and Pinky :)
Thanks for the feedback :) I will try to keep up a good mood but it is not easy. My CRS said I would be painfree after two weeks post surgery.
I am now 12 days after the surgery.Severe fissurepain continues every day...
Bought benefiber to see see if this can make my bms a little looser. I don`t have a bathtub so I cant do long soaks..
The one understading friend travels to India tomorrow and will not be back for half a year/year. I really needed her to he at home with me but she has her own life and she must do what makes here happy. Without her I have you guys :) You are the only ones who understands this problem.
