Macy,
I can't speak specifically to fried foods, though I am sure that like anything, in moderation they are probably OK.
Sweets will generally have a faster transit time through your digestive system, and I can only postulate what problems that might cause, lumpier, dryer stools as they will not have had time to absorb enough water? Or perhaps looser stools that have not had time to form and which may have "bits" that might hurt the fissure as they slide by?
Junk food will just create lumpier, mis-shapened stools that cause also probably mechanically tear at the fissure site more than a smooth, soft "log" might. The consistency of the stool can be very important in some AF cases, but not all. In my case, I had less pain if the stool was formed and smooth, and I got a terrible burning if the stool was soft approaching mushy. Others here do great if their stools are mushier and less formed. But no one benefits if its large and lumpy!
So you might want to keep track of which type stool seems best/worst...
