Hi all, thanks....

MS is milk of magnesia safe to take long term? Not sure if it is......

Lot of love, I'm only 3 and a bit weeks out so my incision isn't healing yet really, I'm getting a lot of hassle with it. Doesn't feel like I've made progress with it!

Day 24

Took less Movicol. Stool was more formed but still soft.... 3 BM, first okay, second and third small. I'm now in pain again. The incision is hell and I can feel a constant sting, itch, sting ache. To be honest at the moment I'm regretting this LIS... I don't feel like I've made any progress in the 3 weeks since surgery, and I'm pretty scared that the pain is lasting all day..

Don't want to eat again or wake up.... I'm getting low again and it's not helping I'm crying, so I'm potentially causing stress on my body again. Really don't know what to do.... Time is what I need, probably loads of it.

I can't go back to work, I'm just too uncomfortable. Thanks for listening rant over.,

I totally feel your pain. Ever since the doc put the nitrate on me I feel like I am back to square one. My fissure healed mine but the incision is causing so much pain. When do you go back to your doctor to get checked out. My doc is sick of me because I haven't healed yet. I started feeling a little better at 7 weeks even though my incision was still open. I am so done with this.

Rachael,

After 3 weeks, I was still bleeding with stinging pain at incision site and I had to keep the area dry, so it would heal. I looked back on my posts and I was also having trouble with 3 BM's a day and I do not know why.

You are at 3 weeks now, right? I hope your incision heals. This has been a nightmare for me. It just doesn't seem like this is normal to be in such pain. They have to come up with a better surgery to heal.

Rachael, your diary ended at 3 weeks. So are you all healed up now? Did your doctor tell you anything to do for the incision to heal? I am losing my mind and just want to quit feeling pain down there. I shouldn't of let him put the nitrate on it.

Hi all thanks! Xxxx

Lot of love, I'm still here.... Don't update everyday, if there's no changes... I'm sorry your incision isn't healed... I'm not sure if they use the silver nitrate here in the UK, where are you based? I'm sure everyone is different and I think I'm going to be a slow healer too.

Scared Ann, I'm better today, this is a good day for me, but let's see about tomorrow. I seem to have a good day, then another bad......

Day 25

1BM, no pain on BM, formed but soft and fluffy. Minimal pain and discomfort felt afterwards.... So I need to have 1 BM to keep pain free... Can't control what my body wants to do, so it's going to be difficult to do. It's not nice still being on this rollercoaster.

Roids thanks for the reassurance, I just wasn't expecting to be in so much pain still after the LIS, suppose 3 BMs just put too much pressure on the incision........

I cant believe this pain is so intense when going to the bathroom with soft stool at almost 9 weeks. I can't deal with this pain anymore. It's like he made the incision much worst. I live on the eastern time in the states. I don't know what good it will do but I am going to see him again on Tuesday.
